Symon James-Wilson

Director, Knowledge Management

As Director of Knowledge Management, Symon oversees research and brand development at Rainmaker. Her applied understanding of community development is grounded in work and volunteer experience across a variety of sectors including: education, environmental sustainability, human and legal rights, poverty reduction, and health care. Previously, partnerships with a variety of organizational units and stakeholder groups - ranging from small and medium-sized NGOs to large universities and transnational organizations - have taken Symon to the USA, UK, Australia, Tanzania, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Guyana. Symon brings a passion and skill for research design, technical writing, and public engagement to Rainmaker’s leadership team. She received her HBA with a specialization in Human Geography and BEd in Elementary Education from the University of Toronto, where she is currently completing an MA that explores the intersection of urban planning and school segregation.
